The MilkyWay Internet Cafe was invited to the 1st International Cyber Cafe Conference in Liepzig, Germany. It was attended by delegates from around the world.

MilkyWay founder Bruce Gillespie attended on behalf of the MilkyWay and presented two papers, "The MilkyWay Internet Cafe - a cyber junction in Africa" and "Some other views of the Internet in Africa". If you would like to read a copy of these papers, please e-mail him.

The conference was held in the stunning Leipzider Messe on the 4th and 5th November 1999.
